Taiwan Power Company intends to procure the following commodity through open
tender. The firms including foreign coal mine owners, foreign coal producers, foreign
and local agents and trading companies, if interested in this tender, may obtain from
this company the bidding documents and submit their bids to this company on or
before the time as specified hereunder.

A. Description of Commodity:
1,350,000 metric tons of general sub-bituminous coal for Taipower thermal power
plant

B. Procurement Area:
Worldwide countries and districts abroad

C. Period of obtaining Bidding Documents
Office hours from August 27, 2014 to September 9, 2014 (Taipei time)

D. Deadline for receiving Bids
5:00 p.m. September 9, 2014 (Taipei Time)

E. Time for opening Technical & Commercial Proposal
9:30 a.m. September 10, 2014 (Taipei Time)

Note:
1. The above 1,350,000 metric tons of general sub-bituminous coal shall be shipped

by Eighteen (18) Panamax Size vessels.
2. Panamax Size vessel: 75,000 metric tons plus/minus 10%.
3. Offeror may offer one or more than one shipment.
4. Bid bond: USD75,000 or TWD2,274,750 per shipment.
5. Delivery period：January 2015 through April 2015.
